It&#8217;s the largest and oldest of the New World Pitvipers, and a dream sighting for anyone into snakes. This photo is a flash misfire, but I like how it feels \u2013 this is a better idea of how this animal spends most of its time. Coiled in between buttresses and low vegetation, waiting for something to come through that won&#8217;t see it.
